What is an empath?

Empath: A person who is capable of feeling the emotions of others despite the fact that they themselves are not going through the same situation. (https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Empath)

When you enter a room, do you feel the vibes in the room before you see anyone?
When you talk to someone who feels down, do you start to feel down, while they start feeling better?
Do you feel tightness in your body when someone else has an ailment in their body?
Do others dictate what your mood is by the way they feel?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you are an empath!

Empaths feel everything around them. Their world is about feeling others’ pains and emotions. Empaths might have the tendency to try to fix others because they want them to feel better. They are HEALERS.

Being an empath and a healer is wonderful! You can sense what people need just by feeling it in your body. Where it gets tricky is if you have been doing this for such a long time, you don’t know what’s yours and what you have just adopted as your own for others. When we have others’ energies in our system, we cannot be who we are supposed to be. It blocks us from our full potential.

This workshop will help you define what is yours and what is not yours, and give you tools to keep that energy out of your space.

We will be learning how to:
Identify what’s your energy and what’s not your energy
Dump energy that’s not yours
Recognize when you are carrying someone else’s energy
Protect yourself from low or negative energy
Use your empathic skills to help yourself and others
Create an action plan to help you reclaim the energy you have given away
